ترک تعلقات پہ رویا نہ تو نہ میں 

ترک تعلقات پہ رویا نہ تو نہ میں 

لیکن یہ کیا کہ چین سے سویا نہ تو نہ میں 

حالات کے طلسم نے پتھرا دیا مگر 

بیتے سموں کی یاد میں کھویا نہ تو نہ میں

ہر چند اختلاف کے پہلو ہزار تھے 

وا کر سکا لب گویا نہ تو نہ میں 

نوحے فصیل ضبط سے اونچے نہ ہو سکے 

کھل کر دیار سنگ میں رویا نہ تو نہ میں 

جب بھی نظر اٹھی تو فلک کی طرف اٹھی 

برگشتہ آسمان سے گویا نہ تو نہ میں

کل جب رکے گا بازوے قاتل تو دیکھنا

کل جب رکے گا بازوے قاتل تو دیکھنا 

اے اہل شہر تم تھے شہید وفا کہ میں 

کل جب تھمے گی خون کی بارش تو سوچنا 

تم تھے عدو کی صف میں سر کربلا کہ میں
